This was really an uplifting book, when I think about it.Story about Lucas Gregory and his young partner, who is happy to hook onto a man with good sence and morals. They start a business, which leads to another, business... by page 571, they own many business'. have great adventures, and a happy life. kind of unheard of in a book.

6-2014. Good book. Fast paced, good group of charaters. Lite reading, good mystery for teenagers and up.

Finished the Adventures - The hound of the Baskervilles - is up next, then more adventures after S. Holmes returns.

Learing a lot... I now understand where and how became such a great General in the revolutionary war.. Full of great info...

Finished... enjoied but had to reread the past ones over again because they all were written so long ago.
