The scenes with Bella & Edward that build up their relationship are so cute & definitely could’ve been included in the films, also the background we get on the other Cullens is so much better & allows the reader to connect to characters that aren’t Bella & Edward, this is basically turning me into a hater of the films, also Bella being sarcastic is amazing

I’m questioning so many of the choices made by everyone who worked on the movie, the book is EXPONENTIALLY better & gives so much more depth to the characters that easily could’ve been kept in the movie

First up on re-reads from school years, we had to read this in class, don’t remember the story but I remember liking it

I can’t help but continue to fall in love with the Darkling, which makes me nervous how Alina & Mal’s relationship will play out. Genya is my favorite supporting character so far and I love the classic “the caste system doesn’t matter to me” attitude Alina seems to have.
