Too long! Got to page 980 out of 1360 and quit. Plot is interesting enough but we don't need to check in with all the characters in all the different plot threads as often as we do. Also there are a couple of monologues that aren't written well or realistically that seem to serve no other purpose than make a political point. Less would have been more.
