Lost in moving.

Writing is uneven, choppy. Not as well written as when writing for the corporate Clancy. Story good enough to keep reading despite this, though.

Classic Hammett. Nightshade does an amazing job of capturing the ambiance of the era in only 6 pages. Amazing.

I had to put this book down as things got too busy for me to have reading time. When I picked it up, the imagery came flooding right back. Wonderfully well written.

Having little time to read lately, I've had to put this down after reading single chapters, sometimes not to get back to for a few days. This book is so well written that this does not appear to affect my pleasure in reading it! I think I'll need to check out more of Meb Bryant books. Can they all be this good?
