An absolutely delightful read. I'm interested in history, language, and gay stuff, so I knew going in this was a unique and fascinating intersection of my interests. What I didn't expect was such a moving and insightful look into how people build community and identity, and what role language can play in an environment full of prejudice and suppression. I'm going to be reccomeding this to every queer person I know!
