I enjoyed the more contemporary authors more fully. Perhaps it is because I could follow their stories more readily. William Carlos Williams' The Use of Force and James Thurber's If Grant Had Been Drinking at Appomattox stand out so far.

Great variety. Some older works are hard to follow.

Outstanding authors. I love this genre.

Challenging. I have to stop every so often to look up references: Gurdjieff, Katherine Mansfield are examples.

Very different from Ninety-Nine Stories of God, but I'm enjoying it.

Very stimulating. I'm glad I have a group to exchange ideas with.

Section "On Writing" is filled with interesting ideas.
