Good news confirmed: Elliott Management to buy Barnes & Noble, which has been for sale for a while. New B&N CEO--which had been an empty position--will be James Daunt, who already heads up Waterstones in the UK.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Barnes & Noble has been looking for a buyer, so it is good news that it may have found one, Elliott Management, which also owns Waterstones. The deal is not final, however, and could always fall through. Still, the CEO at Waterstones appears to have been turning it around.
