Part 2 certainly started with a bang!
This book also reminds me of why I cannot watch nature programmes. They upset me too much!

This won't be finished for book club tomorrow. Its been hard going. Not sure how I feel about it. Interested in the discussion tomorrow night!

I probably should have tried to find a less intense book to follow up The Sympathizer. This one will not be an easy read if the first 30 pages are anything to go by!!!

I'm only halfway through and have no idea where this book is headed, but the message is super powerful!

I think I'm starting to get into the flow of this. The writing is very good and even without the "usual" punctuation I find myself reading quite comfortably.

Not sure what to comment on the scene of him masturbating with a squid than having it for dinner......

It's an odd book.

New writing format for me. No real indication of when people are speaking, grammatically speaking. Luckily I have enough common sense to figure it out....

Well this is very different to what I have been reading recently. Only one chapter in so have no real impressions just yet. Interesting to read something about the Vietnamese War though. First for me.

I'm starting to feel really bad as all the reviews for this are like 4 stars and in my mind I'm at like 2 stars.....

I am debating whether to attend a 3rd day at the UWA BookSale for Save the Children. I have already purchased like 25 books or so....
I really want to, but I'm also like, I really shouldn't..... *Sigh* The life of a book nerd is hard beans!

Uhhhmmmm, not sure about this one so far. This book also makes me appreciate how important type set and font are....

I kinda wanted to have this finished by the end of the weekend but migraines have prevented me doing much reading....

Have to say, a bit begrudgingly, I am also listening to the audiobook of this, narrated by Steven Brand and it is formidable!!! Loving it so much I'm almost preferring it to reading the book myself which is something I NEVER thought I'd say!!
