I've only been thinking "I should read that at some point" about this book for going on six years...

Reading this very slowly because I keep it on my nightstand, reading a poem or two on occasion. They pair best with alcohol, of any sort, really.

Rereading, because I have a copy to a dear friend for Christmas, and I want to be prepared to discuss it. Also because it’s brilliant and a perfect book in which to get lost.

Okay, this book is pretty splendid so far.

It’s been seven years of people recommending this book, so I decided to finally read it.

Roughly halfway through this, and I'm not sure where it's going, but reading it is the only thing that I want to do.

I’ve never seen the movie, but I picked the book up for $1.25 at McKay’s, because Bowie and Bauhaus and bisexual lady vampires. I like the Keats reference, and the take on vampirism, and the fake sleep science. However, the glossed-over sexual assault that just keeps on happening is... Well, it’s a lot.

I need brain bleach. But I also can’t stop reading.

What is she doing??

This book is exhausting. I feel like I should be watching it instead of reading it.

I’ve never read Dean Koontz, and I feel like my horror fan card is going to be taken away if I don’t fix that. I’ve heard this one is among his best, so I’m starting here.

Still waiting on THE TWIST.

Reading this because I want to know about THE TWIST and what the big deal is. So far I have about half a dozen theories about what’s going on. I hope I’m wrong about all of them, because I want to be as SHOOK as everybody else.
