Imagine me rating The Sixth Sense after watching only 80% of it, completely missing the reveal that defines the film and made it a classic. That wouldn’t be an opinion, it would be dishonest. And lazy. And unfair, not just to the creator, but to the act of reading itself. This actively undermines what it means to engage with a work in good faith.
