This is probably my sixth or seventh time reading this book! The scrapbook pages are just too good

This book is so hard to get through, not because the writing is terrible but because the Lacks family's generational trauma from systemic racism and the injustices done to them by the scientific and medical community. I'm so glad though that their story can be told

I think this book would be better if it was written by a different person, I'm not a fan of the author's "humorous" tone

Ooooh I just know this book is going to take me a minute to finish, I can’t take the stress!!

Ugh this book is so hard to get through, not because I don't like it but because I just dread every chapter and every kid's death. Hunger Games was based off this book, but I know it's not going to end like the Hunger Games :( I keep reading other books so I can put off getting to the end
