Definitely grabs your attention and holds on. Prochnau introduces the journalists--young and old--who exposed the duplicity of the various governments, militaries, and individuals associated with the fiasco in Vietnam.

Decided to read le Carré's books after seeing an interview with him on "60 Minutes." This book--his first--is relatively short (128 pages) and is thus far a good read. Surprised the library had a copy from the early-1960s (when first published).

Not a bad read but not necessarily original thoughts (think of a mashup of Orwell, Arendt, and Santayana).

Just began (yet) another book. Alternative history novel bearing striking resemblances to current racial issues in the US.
