So, I’m enjoying it. But it just feels like a lesser mashup of other books I loved - Room and The Snow Child. I think it is fairly well written and the story itself is engrossing but at times it seems like the magic is being forced. And, the protagonist bugs me. Just a bit. For reasons that you might not expect. Just something about her inner monologue that grates on me. But...still looking forward to continuing.
