I'm still in the first section, but Jardir's story is truly getting better and better. I'm really enjoying this book so far! :)

The first section is oddly reminiscent of some lore in the Wheel of Time series. A people born of the desert, that battle with spears, and await for their 'prophet' of sorts to come and lead them, and unite their tribes so that they can fight in the ultimate battle of good vs evil. This describes the Aiel in the Wheel of Time series, and also the desert tribes led by Ahmann Jardir here. Enjoying it so far though. :)

Still struggling, but I'm going to try to finish this one. It just might take me a while, but I'll chip at it a little at a time.

Really good so far! I'm completely enjoying the story line and the main characters. I'm also really loving the lore of the corelings and the Wards. Very interesting! I think I read that this was picked up to be made into a movie? I'll be following news on that for sure. :)

Struggling a bit to stay focused on this one. It's kind of all over the place, with so many things going on and characters to keep up with. All of the reading I've done so far, and I only feel like I have a very vague idea of what's going on. Maybe it will all come together soon? I hope. :P

The first part of the book was just action, action, action.. Very military-like and made you feel like you're in a battle with a bunch of Marines for about 200 pages. It was ok, but I wanted more lore, more story to sink into. Well, now The Flood has made an appearance and I understand the title to this book. And it's getting good. It's definitely picking up steam now, and I can't wait to see how it ends. :)
