enjoying every moment..... :)

beautiful end to this novel, comes from the this last chapter,where i learned something which i didn't expect of.... with this ends the profound observational skills of an author who wrote this novel at the height of his literary powers.written in 1987 and i read it in late 2011. lovely stories,so sad and yet so beautiful....

only 10 pages remaining now... and its getting damn exciting towards the end.full of life....:)

final chapter....just started it... it's getting more memorable then it wud hv ever been.... :)

lots to take from this novel, kept thinking while i was reading... very deep and profound conclusions can be drawn frm this novel.

always remember: “A snapped wire can never be made whole again,you shall never recapture that lost melody-you shall just exist , grow old with one who does not love you,one whom you will have forgotten to love” .. with this ends, this novel of intricate relationship of husband and wife going through the state of turmoil in their marriage.

And nothing can be more humiliating for man to be cast in this role. That is why we(men) must remain silent,why I must remain silent- to keep my self- respect , and to maintain my wife’s honour.”

Angshu says to himself: “In plays , in novels when husbands are unfaithful, the wives becomes the authors’ and readers’ object of pity or even tragic heroines , but when the reverse happens,when the husband has sufficient reason to suspect his wife, & becomes jealous- nearly always – he is depicted in a slightly ridiculous manner , as the eternal stereotypical ‘jealous husband’.

Marriage! What a complex,difficult,necessary and fantastically durable institution it is-yet how fragile!

finished with the "exercisers" chapter,this ws a sweet little love story in this tale of tales.So,now i'll be beginning with the last chapter of this novel.

nearing to the end of this novel, just dnt want to finish it so soon,feel lyk that this novel shouldn't end..... it's so beautiful,this feel.....

unputdownable till now.... this author has a very eloquent way of writing,everything so beautifully described herein..
