A useful introduction to the Medieval mindset. This cosmology had a universe teaming with life and order and glory that was only fallen between the moon and earth. Yet all had meaning. Existence began with God and perfection at the top, descending down to our fallen world, yet still receiving grace and help. In our day, Man is alone and, along with all of Nature, struggling upward to perfection with no meaning

Read it once and almost done with 2nd read through, taking notes to try and absorb some key points.

Jesus is the Way. He has promised to be our guide, even unto death. We are sheep. Sheep trust the shepherd implicitly, trusting him to handle everything, we are to follow. The better we know Jesus, the better we will trust and follow. "Following God is not like walking a tightrope."

Been away a very long time, but hope to log what I've been reading....

Excellent book and very helpful; not only to understanding our current generation but, of course, also the understanding of the divinely created institution of marriage which predates any political structure!!

Great book, laid out as daily reads on different aspects of the Grace of God. Will enlarge your understanding, deepen your worship and wonder of the God of Grace and how it transforms the soul over time. Highly recommended.
