If Rafe could just cut his flighty hot'n'cold demeanor I would probably like him a lot more. It doesn't help that I picture him as Snape the whole time. Also, I need more character development for Kaden and PLEASE could Lia just start doing something interesting. A real plot would be extremely nice as well. I love the atmosphere though and the world building has some interesting potential. More of that, please!

These first several chapters had me on the edge of my seat and my heart hammering — such a great start! Also, Sofia seems like an amazing protagonist (although I always thought she was POC, so picture me confused at first).
