The writing is still light and easy, but this volume is tackling dark issues such a homophobia, emotional domestic abuse and I’m not sure this writing style fits these dark undertones

Only listened to this Friday. Came available on Friday two months ahead of schedule from my library audiobook app!

Wish me luck with this as never done a Ann Cleeves novel before but, so far, I like it. I feels like it’s going to be more character driven compared to other crime stories I read that are much more faster in pacing/action!

I've just realised I have 6 Agatha Christie novels to read on my kindle. I have [deep breath]: Crooked House, ABC Murders, Murder is Easy, Sleeping Murder, Towards Zero and The Secret Adversary.

Plus, I put several more on my Christmas Wishlist. And with my reading going all over the place due to Xmas and my plans to read a ton of Gay YA and some historical in the next few months... this is going to be messy!
