I bored this from the library and wish I had bought it instead

Why aren’t books like this taught in schools? This should be required reading for everyone.

So good so far. Similar themes as Yellowface and Julie Chan is dead though not as quick as a read because it doesn’t have the thriller aspect the above mentioned novels have. It is described as satire and so far, it’s hilarious! I’m really enjoying this so far. It’s also a little spicy 😝😏

If you’re interested in history, this is very interesting to read. It looks at the intersection and co existence of Judaism, Islam, Christianity and Arab culture as well as the colonial, imperialist forces that went all divide and conquer. It’s also got interesting information about North African culture, and the Mediterranean countries of Italy, Greece and Spain which are very connected to the Arab world!

This should be a must read. Highly recommend so far and not done yet!

This book has interesting information to look into using other sources that are less biased and more factual, but it is written terribly. The author seems like a flunky for Israeli propaganda and has yet to explain or provide the whys of the history between Jews and Muslims and no background information. He’s just assigning blame.

This is a great story but I have to keep putting it down because there are a lot of sensitive topics and experiences that Jude suffers through.

Does anyone else notice the passing insertion of “Israel” in narratives? Just came up in this book about “Israeli food” when it’s really ripped off from Palestinian cuisine.
Other than that, it’s a good read so far.

Slow read but excellently written.

I’ve read the Harry Potter series multiple times since it came out but now I’m listening to it on audio. I was trying to read along while I listen but my reading pace and the narrator’s speaking pace are different so just listening to enjoy now.

Halfway through. I prefer romcom books over romcom movies. This one is getting better and better.
