Not terrible but want it to pick up the pace a little.

One could get whiplash from these plot lines.

It’s an odd story. It’s a bad sequel in which I’ve invested in the characters but the plot is all over the place.

It’s a bit terrible. The writing is so sloppy that I don’t always fully understand what is happening or why. I might speed read the dialogue just to know what happens to Libby.

It’s never a good sign when I start skipping pages. He’s a good writer, maybe to the point where his stories in the voices of uneducated characters aren’t convincingly theirs but his. And maybe I’m just too adhd for certain styles but I really want some of these diatribes to come to their point without the minutia.
