The kids in my philosophy club seem to enjoy even though I am spending most of my time explaining the political background behind it. I am very much enjoying it

Boy, is this a rough read.

In his excellent introduction, Delany introduces this as his "Scorpion Garden" and it really has all the abject qualities of what pornography is and can be.

It's an odd contrast from the usual ideas of liberation in his other novels. But this is a phase of Delany that I have not read before so I should not be too surprised that it is rather shocking.

Lucas Chance is finished with Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House
My early thoughts on this book turned out to be right. This book does not really have a hook or a point of view that differentiates from average media coverage. While it is nice to have all this information in one spot, the hubbub around this book is much more interesting than the book itself. It has an interesting thread of Bannon's fall in the White House, but it is not developed enough to be the main narrative.

"Everything looks real, and therefore it is real; in any case the fact that it seems real is real, and the thing is real even if, like Alice in Wonderland, it never existed."
