I'm cackling. This is just a blast.

I'm on the verge of dropping this too. It's just so...boring. Like nothing has happened plot wise. Not really. It's a bit frustrating because I like the set up, the characters, but it's dragging HARD and I've already lost interest.

How many times have I read this now???

I have not read such INSTA insta love romance in so long. I hate it. I'm like...THIS CLOSE DNF because I cannot get behind any of this. also the plot is just...it's bleh. This should have been YA.

My 3 year old daughter got onto my Kindle, said I finished this book, rated it, and then pre-ordered the next one. Wow.

This is my second time attempting to read this and once again I'm just...kind of bored. There are things happening, but at snail speed. Like there is so much world building and lore and just...the before is immense but do we need all of it on the page right now? It make it hard to move forward when there is one foot always in the past. It feels oddly passive writing desire it not being??

Who else would come up with dead people with swords for arms????

Thank God there is something hilarious happening. And thank God it involves Islington.

This lady is disgusting

I cannot get enough of the sweet moments leading to absurd moments. And vice versa. Is this the most enjoyable series ever???

This book is pretty awesome, I will say. Love the complicated trials. The complicated characters. The imagery of magic and setting...it's pretty coooool.

Can we...not?

This entire book is written 29848384% more mature than the first and I appreciate that. It doesn't feel awkward as hell when dialogue happens. The love interest is actually INTERESTING and sweet. It's not perfect but it's been pretty good. Even the plot is interesting, although it is not original nor fresh but can't win em all!

This is by far the best narrator EVER. Like I am so glad to listen to this because my inner head voice couldn't do it better.

Tired of powerful men taking in young women romances

For so long I've put off reading the hunger game prequel because I loved katniss and I just...couldn't let the after thoughts taint the original thought. BUT haymitch's story was the ONLy prequel I would accept. And when she originally did Snow, I was perplexed. And saddened. But yay, she did Haymitch's games, but I still put it off because, well, i was so scared of being disappointed. BUT guess what I need a book so

Um excuse me, no one told me this book literally starts with ...that. Like you know what happens but damn my heart is still racing

Is this...doctor who fan fiction

I'm so close to dropping this book because I simply don't care about anyone. The biggest crime ofthis book is how passively it's written as well as well, Alma, as sweet as she is so so UNCONVINCING in her revenge. And Aster, who is supposed to be teh god aiding her, is really, like toxic in almost an abusive way. so having a hard time just...getting behind it all.

I just can't like Aster. And I don't care how much Alma tells me about herself, she literally is a soft cinnamon roll

Honestly, this book is not what I expected .Trying to not feel disappointed. There's still a lot left but I'm almost...am bored. And just like okay this isn't as smart as I thought it was going to be. ANYWAYS

This book has way too much passive voice. I struggled to put my finger on it. But there it is. It's moving but feels like you're being dragged along. Does that make sense.

I got as far as I could with this on Libby (skip the line) and finally got it back! Lets goo!! 7 days!!!

Went into this blind and am pleasantly surprised at how invested I already am. I think I know what's going to happen and I WANT THAT

Audiobook (only thing available). Wish I was reading this because I really love the sort of tongue in cheek narrator. The actual verbal narrator isn't savvy enough to get the slight dry humor I wish. BUT still enjoying it!
