Ok just finished the dune and OMG... Stephen King has the best ending in this old short story of his... One of his best ever endings... Scary and I can see a smile on his face when he completed the last line...

Just finished mile 81 and was a good read. A cross between Buick 8 and Christine, what a great idea.

Up to the part where some of the survivors have come together and they are discussing how to rebuild what has been lost. Not sure how I feel about this at this juncture in the story. In my mind I would be thinking of survival not rebuilding society / family ...

By far this is the most frightening book that I ever read. My phone goes off when I was reading tonight and I jumped 10 feet and my heart racing a mile a minute.
