Trouble rears its ugly head and creates distance between the two human MCs.

Liking so far!

This changed from a self-isolated man who's wife and long time best friend betrayed him finding a heavily scarred 18 year old runaway into a Daddy/little all too quickly. And a maturing brown bear cub who Oliver, the Daddy, domesticated to be "human friendly."

Basically a story about bullying and a religious summer camp were one orphan camper continually makes the incorrect choices and held responsible for all the bad occurrences at the camp. No mysterious events or horrific happenings.

The actual page count s/b 354. Had to switch to % completed.

A disappointing novel from a terrific writer of "The Other."

I can see the reason for the low rating now. If this story is supposed to be scary, consider me truly not frightened.

This agonizing read will soon be over! My Christmas wish is coming true!!

Oh, the pain! The absolute injustice of this person being allowed to publish such drivel. Please, let me finish this horrific "story" with minimal suffering SOON! Ugh!
