every time i pick up a book with vampires, i’m reminded of how utterly cheated we were with the storytelling in twilight.

saw a tiktok that described this as powerless in a different font. so far, correct, but i dnf’d powerless. unlike this book, where it’s almost 3 a.m. and i can’t put it down. maybe i just like that it feels like a real adult romantasy instead of a ya novel where “opposite” brothers fight over a platinum blonde with blue orbs for eyes.
