Personally I think the best way to deal with this (this being Seth's mum) is violence. Perhaps a chainsaw.

An ugly and disappointing little writer's rant, clumsily hidden behind a female character's voice. 'Men invented Everything! And in the REAL world without all this technology women would be helpless! weak bodies! need men to protect them!' I know this was published in the 70s but seriously?

Lots of god stuff but it's not obnoxious.

And thus King begins to kill off the (mostly nice) parental figures. I really think the Bakers would've adopted Nick if they'd known him longer :(
