After four disappointing novels in a row it's nice to sink into a Sarah Waters, even though I know it's going to end horribly, probably.

Why is the blurb talking about a missing boy coming back when the novel is mostly about...literally everything else

This book is slow and weird but goddamn if King doesn't knock it out of the park in that awful family relations scene. I actually got angry. Poor Lois.

I am...so bored.

So this novel, though nicely written, is basically about a straight man who is in love with a lesbian who, for some reason, tells him all about her feelings and sexy moments with another woman.

Because. You know. That's likely.
