Oh this is gonna be a one sitting read I can already tell

I'm obviously going to give it more time to grow on me, but as of right now I'm not completely sold on the prose? I'm interested in the story and this haunted house (whether literal or figurative) but I keep having to re-read sections. It's so flowery it's almost to the point of being impossible to understand what's going on. Will definitely at least give it to page 50 before I make a decision
