I really like the fairytale aspect of this book, although we're just thrown into this book with no explanation. We get to figure stuff out on our own, but it also makes it hard for me to sympathize with the characters, since we know so little about them.

I first read this when I was about 12 and it didn't bother me back then, but the beginning seems a little rushed; we hardly have any background on the characters. They're just put into this fantasy setting and that's it.

I really like that there are so many perspectives in this book, but why do there have to be so many flashbacks? Some of them don't even seem to be that relevant...

I'm so excited to read this! We started watching the movie for this book in the last English lesson of this school year. We didn't finish it, but it made me soo excited to read the book!

ugh, the part where he reads *the book* is just so dull... I can't bring myself to read it, I'm just skimming at the moment.

Pretty quick read, since there's hardly any text. But the punishments the sinners get are a bit too "graphic" for me (got that pun?)
