None of these people talk like strangers. They’re all interacting as if they’re old friends, even though only talked twice and met earlier that day. It’s sooooo distracting!!!

My brother in Christ, he literally invited you on a date after talking to you for 20 seconds, and at the end of your date asked you to go on other dates in the future. I don’t think he’s straight 🥴💀

Nothing was established or introduced and the MCs immediately go on a date and talk to each other as if they’ve known each other for a long time. It genuinely feels like a chunk is missing from the start of this book.

Y’all are too comfortable for 2 people who just met, idk. I wouldn’t go on a date with a complete stranger, and get in their car, and jokingly / casually call him an asshole as if we’re old friends, but maybe that’s just me.

The start of this book is a bit *too* abrupt. I wish we’d gotten a bit more of an introduction instead of just being thrown into the story.

Maybe I’m a petty ass bitch but I wanted Jordy to get exposed!!! That’s what this whole book was about! I don’t care if they “grew” and found it “healthier” to “not hold grudges” or whatever. I! Want! Revenge!

The way I read this entire book and still don’t care about them as a couple lol. I literally feel nothing.

Ever since they “got together” (aka started simply hooking up) I’ve been liking this book less and less.

I’m actually, literally, physically making nasty faces and cringing at their romantic moments and lines…. that’s not a good sign… 😥

I hated this scene actually. 🥴😬🫥

This scene being:

- Maya climbing a cliff
- Skye finding her stuck and unable to get down
- Skye helps Maya
- Skye gets mad at Maya for risking getting hurt and they argue
- they kiss

Unfortunately, I’m not really loving the romance here. 😢 It seems like they got together mostly as a hookup/friends-with-benefits kind of thing, and although I know they’ll eventually ~fall in love~, I personally prefer to read about slow-burn romances that don’t start out as simple hookups. I want to see them fall in love and pine, and this was a bit too insta-love/insta-lust for me. 😖

It’s a shame the author didn’t develop Celia and Oliver’s romance at all, bc they actually have really cute moments 🤒. (Just like in TVD, the side characters have a better romance than the main ones 😐)
