I’m so sad bc I genuinely think this book is good so far, it’s just that with each mediocre book i read my patience lessens, so at this point a slow paced book (even if it’s good) just leaves me impatient/uninterested. ☹️

Long story short: it’s not the book, it’s me 💔

I’M BORED 😭😭😭 it’s not that the book is bad, but it’s kinda slow paced, and recently I’ve just been reading garbage books so i *need* something to really compel me otherwise I’ll just be annoyed, and this book is not intriguing enough to keep me interested…

This book is so mind numbing..... I hate to do this, but I think I need to DNF. 💔💔💔 I thought I'd love this (it was literally my most anticipated debut of 2022!!!!!!!) and I'm truly thankful I got an ARC (my 2nd ever ARC, too!), but I've been reading this for 2 weeks (it feels like MONTHS, to be honest) and I can't do this anymore. Maybe I'll come back to this at some point.

Hold up: Colton said he couldn’t tutor her today; she went inside just bc she needed to use the bathroom, and suddenly he’s tutoring her? Did he suddenly stop having other stuff to do and completely changed his schedule while she pissed?? I’m so confused.

But here we just have Colton being an ass and Delaney pushing back for a second, only to immediately just do what he tells her, no questions asked.

It’s so annoying, especially because 1) the author thinks their dynamic is a funny back and forth (it isn’t); & 2) because a man being a dick to a disabled girl who never really pushes back seems… off.

I’m tired of Colton being an arrogant, stuck-up douche. I know that’s point of his character, but I really dislike his and Delaney’s dynamic.

Bickering between couples is only fun when both parties are on the same level. It’s cute and funny to see characters being sarcastic and bickering back and forth!

Haven’t picked this book up in almost a week and legit didn’t think about it ONCE 🥴. And now I’m DREADING having to finish it. Can’t believe I’m only 20% through.

Delaney’s friendship with Adya and Mackenzie was not developed AT ALL! Literally came out of nowhere

I’ve felt this multiple times in the book: it’s like scenes are missing. Right now the friends are giving her advice to deal with Cotlon, and I’m here wondering how they even know about him, let alone his and Delaney’s relationship. I’m guessing she told them off page, but I would’ve loved to see it

WHY ARE YOU DRAWN TO EACH OTHER AND WHY CAN’T YOU BE CLOSE WHAT IS GOING ON ???!!?!! Ughhhhhhh this book is getting frustrating!

This book makes me question a lot of things, but not in a “Ohhh mystery!! I’m intrigued 👀” way, more like a “Nothing is being explained or developed so I’m really fucking lost” way……….. 😒

No offense but I feel like the author thinks the MCs are already at a level where they can bicker with each other in a cute way, but honestly… I don’t see it?

They’re basically strangers, and all we’ve seen between them is him being arrogant and treating her poorly, and her doing whatever he tells her, without questions, like she’s a defenseless child trying to impress a really mean teacher… 😐

and if i say that i have *multiple* complaints about the writing then what? 🤕 god, i really wanted to love this!! 😢 i’m not hating it at all, but not much has happened and idk what’s going on or where the story is even headed, and the messy writing isn’t helping: i feel like scenes are missing, as if we’re skipping important parts and missing a lot of explanations and developments 😕

How many times is she gonna be compared to glass omg it’s been like 15 times already 😭

Also I STILL don’t know what the fuck is going on and I’m getting a little impatient, ngl. Like, where is the story going?
