I sure hope this exchange between a (male) director of an institute of education and a (male) fanatic of Islam about (female) wearers of headscarves is satire, cause if it isn't, it's simply hilariously bad.

How rum some English people are! They ask to be shocked and long to be shocked and hope to be shocked, but if you really shock them...how shocked they are!

Maybe one day it'll all just fall apart, and there was a certain gratification in that thought too. Let the maderchod blow.

Devil on the Cross
. (P.S. Don't let my lack of update posts make you think this book isn't still brilliant.)

A suspected Neo-Nazi teen murdered the parents of his ex-girlfriend, so now I suppose people are going to be clamoring for mental health incarceration of teenagers instead of, I don't know. Rejecting every instance of hate before it comes to this? Nah. That'd take too much self-reflexively critical evaluation.

Old Penguin Classics are the fucking worst for being ultra condescending, but there's always rereads with better editions to look forward to.

The real stories remain locked in the hearts of the refugees, for them to mull over in complete secrecy. That's not to say it's...
