I've been a fan of Akala for some time, Not for his music - I've heard it's very good, but rap isn't my thing - but for his wit, intelligence and activism. Seeing him on a TV debate show where some white politician or journalist underestimates him because he's a rap artist (and a black man), and then watching him politely eviscerate them with his depth of knowledge is a joy to behold and this book is its distillation
