So far, a must read for anyone seeking to learn the true history of our country and all it is founded on. I had no idea how much of the US history I was taught in school is based in the negation of all the events that took place and politics native peoples engaged in with the US government.

Audiobook

Chapter 28 is wonderful. I began thinking this book would be a good example of CPTSD and an individual journey. I’m surprised and very much enjoying the discussion on cultural contributors and generational trauma. The authors curiosity definitely contributes to my continued interest in her story

Loving the honesty in her writing and brash transparency into her own experiences. Funny, which is refreshing, but I struggle to listen to more than a few chapters at a time.
