I <3 this book =)

Second chapter is slightly better in keeping me interested. I think I am most thrown off by the author's introspections at the end of a story, or in the middle of one. They seem somewhat forced, and give off the feeling of trying to be "deep" but not quite getting there. (I got this book through first reads giveaway)

So far, this book is alternating between story telling and lecturing. It feels almost like reading a psychiatry textbook. I am not drawn into the book despite the interesting nature of the cases being shared. I suspect it is because the author interspersed the each patient story with information on certain psychiatric terms or concepts, but did not achieve a balance between story telling and information provision.

it's taking me so long to get through this book....

I give up. Was not able to get into the book at all
