400 pages in, and I still don't know what D.O.D.O's goal is. Is that right? I just realized this. I am reading and reading, and they have been doing the same thing over and over to no avail. Maybe that's the point?

Even with a writing partner, Neal finds a way to take 400 page plot and make it 700+. Still better than anything else I have read, but they spent 300 pages on a a fairly minor incident in this book that could have been conveyed in 100 pages and still get the point across.

Here we go again Mr. Stephenson. Will the presence of another writer make you good, tolerable? Your plots always intrigue me, but your story-telling does not. Here we go down the rabbit hole again.

Why am I jumping into another large novel again?
