Literally have never read a textbook to the extent to which I have had to add it to my bookshelf. I have literally read most of 9 chapters. Of a textbook. You named a sphingolipid after the sphinx because it was mysterious but yet has nothing to do with its backbone being a sphingosine 😭😭😭 wait. I understood that. Maybe this book is helpful.

As soon as I saw this book I was flooded with memories. My uncle travels to Africa quite a bit and throughout my childhood would tell me stories about the places he visited. One of those places was the door of no return. I learned about it in the fourth grade. I was captivated at the thought that the door would be the last thing someone would see before they were stolen from their country.

I just needed something to read other than the manga that I’ve recently been obsessed with. Caroline took Joe to another level in this one. I will say the first half is a little slow so I put it down. I recently picked it back up half way through and it’s a page turner. We’ll see how Joe gets off in the end this time
