Book got good for a while when it started to focus on the main character again, but it's already dropped that focus and it's losing me again.

I've gotten to the point that my mind just automatically translates the mash up of languages used in this book to regular English. Once this started, the boom got far easier to read.

So far, reading this has been like trying to decipher a foreign language. There is so much slang that it takes me twice as long to get through each page compared to normal books.

overall, not an terrible book. at times it suffers from telling and not showing but the characters manage to be interesting. the pacing is a bit wonky but I'd recommend this book to anybody who wants a look into the life of a hero's underappreciated sidekick.
