okay I’m dnfing it … this is basically a romance book with a dark fantasy aesthetic. I like a strong FMC and Elspeth is the opposite of that 🫠 I’m so uninterested in those one dimensional predictable characters.

I’m really struggling with this. The writing is beautiful but so surface level. The characters are not interesting at all and there’s nothing deep about them. It reads heavily like YA despite the characters ages. I don’t feel absorbed by the story or the scenery at all…. Considering DNFing it 😬
