Oh wow. Georgia is an horrible person

I am so confused. This must be at least a bit caricatural.

To be honest I don't like the premise because the story almost implies having had no relationship before 18 is abnormal. I know we're in Georgia's head but still. If I had read this book before now it would have reinforced my feeling of awkwardness and being abnormal even more. At 27, still no relationship in sight I know there's nothing wrong with me, but idk if I didn't know what the main character I'd feel weird

I think it's fucked up how society has such a low opinion on women and easily blames her for men harrassing her.

this is an automatic 5 stars, but wow.

Unreliable narrator?

big trigger warning for eating disorders and the like (suicide, depression, alcoolism, domestic abuse), but ooh we like an unhinged main character

I'm always skeptical of LGBTQ issues mixed with race issues as I find them impossible to compare or even talked about in the same conversation. But in the story it kind of makes sense to have them both here, or at least it's done well. The colorism is pretty big and very sad. I'm very curious of what is happening
