I read this because it was referred to a lot in the novel You. Like Alice Munroe and Anne Tyler, this is a domestic drama. Paula puts into words the feelings that pinch us throughout the day with every encounter big and small.

This is a great afternoon read. Short, Anne Tyler, is at her best in the every day minutia of domestic drama.

Stephen King is like an old friend I only see once sometimes a year. I'm always glad to be reading him, feel exhilarated that a few hours his voice is back in my head. Sometimes he has words, his stories, feel like little electric charges in my head, sometimes they are more of a gentle tap on my consciousness. The End of Watch (the third book in the Bill Hodges trilogy) was more of a gentle tap.
