So far, I'm not sure this book will be a winner. I'm convinced by the theological importance of rest. However, I'm not convinced by the books theology of work, and it seems to identify rest and sabbath a little too closely - regularly quoting rabbinical teaching as often as biblical teaching. I've seen no recognition given yet to the distinctive role the sabbath plays in God’s covenant with Israel.
