Bo-ring. Can’t wait to be done with it

So far I found myself smiling a few times and the book is fun. However, there was no description of January so far except for her band t-shirts. I guess it's made so we can associate to her but the problem is that she doesn't sound real. I like it and I liked the plot twists about Gus' past but it lacks depth. I didn't care for the intimate moments between the two. So far it's a 3 stars for me. Hopefully it changes.

The imagery is so awkwardly thrown in there. The author feels pushy with over the top similes. She is trying too hard and most of the time, it does not work. Like I get it, she tried because generally speaking they’re cool but dude. The worst is that I’m getting to enjoy the book even though it is very slow. It feels like mean girls but with grown women

The main character is so irritating. I’m debating wether or not giving up on the book. The writing is a roller coaster of good and bad writing

Half enjoying half despising the book. The main character is a lame, needy, pushover. I have absolutely no sympathy for her. Only thing she does is obsessing over Margot and drinking lattes. Urgh

When does it actually START?

Timeline is messy. I keep going back and forth between chapters and I’m only 25 pages in

Just like with The Good Daughter, the writing is amazing and got me hooked from page 1. It has only been two days and I can’t put it down. Loving it. Hopefully a 5 stars?
