Thought this was a novella, but it's short stories and I've been trying to connect them together and make sense of them as a novel. Think I might stop here for a while. Short stories, for me, need breaks in between.

'Why is it that leading psychiatrists cannot get enough? Isn’t this behaviour so bizarre, abnormal, socially dysfunctional, and harmful towards others, that, in accordance with the psychiatrists’ own way of thinking, it would be legitimate to invent a diagnosis for it? An appropriate name could be Obsessive Compulsive Disease Mongering Disorder, OCDMD'.

It's interesting and sound, but not the most engaging read. I will keep reading when I'm in the mood for essay-like discussions.

Some interesting short stories. I read short story books very slowly. I prefer novels or novellas.

Yes, very dated. Historically interesting though. The writing style is engaging. Not sure if I'll finish it though because the book isn't relevant enough to NOW.

Horror. I hate horror. I hate thinking about excuses of perpetrators of horror. Think I stopped reading this book in Jan 2014. I only got as far as I did because it's well-written. But it's horrible. Don't think I have the stomach to finish this book.

I read short story books very slowly. If I read them all at once, my mind wants to mix the stories together, as though it is a novel, and that's annoying. Enjoying the stories in this book so far.

Not finding the writing in this book remotely emotionally intelligent. It feels like a sales spiel that doesn't have enough substance or wisdom to engage me. Pity. I am very interested in the topic of emotions as thinking. The print and spacing in this book is very large and spaced. It strikes me stylistically as more like a pamphlet, or some presenter's slide-show than a book.
