Where I am right now Theo is leaving the bus stop. I think one thing I could relate to was movi ng schools like he did. Last year when I moved schools I had almost no friend but after I started baseball I had already made 12 friends. But it is hard and I understand why he hangs out with the one kid because he feels accepted.

In my book the Characters name is Brock and he is hardworking, friendly and athletic. He is always respectful of adults and never gives up, even though his dad wont let him play travel baseball. This part shows he is determined "When it was Brock's turn, he couldn't help whispering to himself "Watch This". I am reading my book because I like reading books for my own enjoyment sometimes and I really like this book. It's really not an easy book either because I didn't want to read a book I could finish.

Theo has faced so many problems I almost cant find another one. I am going to use one of his problems and how he reacted. One problem was his parents dying. After his Dad died he decided to run away, which I think is smart because where would he live. And Hobie is awesome to let him stay in his home, he is probably the best role model in the book. I think he responded appropriately.

Right now Theo is in NYC, he just got of the bus from L.A. and has been getting bothered by some weird men. Im trying to put myself in his shoes and thin about what I would do if both of my parents were dead. He had the choice of staying with his dads girlfriends and probably put in a foster home or run away. I would run away but would not steal stuff from her. It would be a hard decision.

My author uses description very well. He also does a few chapters in the eyes of the zombies/grown-ups and it shows how they think but its interesting because this is a prequel and what is happening in this is connected to the first book. The bus driver was turned into a zombie and in the first book a zombie in a shirt with a flag led the other ones. In this one the zombie they were showing just found a shirt.

I think my author made this book for entertainment. But it also has the theme of de-evolution like Call of the wild. Because if you lock up thousands of people in a mall for 3 weeks there starts to be gangs and riots.

The character in this book named Mike reminds me of Zach. I remember the time that Mr. Johnson said Zach should be a police offer and he said he would because e could shoot people and its legal and Mike says those things all the time.
