This book seems to lead a very similar story to The Hunger Games. The story seems to be interesting; however I don't feel I'm far enough into the book to accurate make a depiction of The Testing.

Starting to read this book is a little confusing. This book pays no real attention to the main characters of the maze runner series. Attention to what happened before the maze was what this book is going to be about.

A part I find confusing is how the book is laid out because when reading it seems to jump from topic to topic with no real connection.

I choose this book because I find topics about the mind or sleeping interesting. What mostly drew me to this book was that it talks about the affect the internet has on the mind. I spent a lot of time on the internet, so I hope to find some incite on the topic from this book.

I love the way that certain parts of the book are unveiled. A start of a new chapter can lead to something that doesn't actually happen. It is surprising to find out that what was just happening was just a simulation, and that Jeanine failed again.

I first thought the bond between Tris and Tobias was breaking but then I realized that it is only growing stronger. Tobias only is angered because he fears that Tris will get hurt or die. He wants to protect her and do what he can to keep her alive.

It's hard to believe that someone has such a distaste for their parents. Once you understand what happened and why then it becomes completely understandable on why Tobias doesn't like either of his parents.

It's hard to believe that after all this time Mal is the third amplifier. It makes me wonder how he became the one. It also clears of my thoughts of Alina being Baghra's sister's daughter. I wonder how they are going to do about combining the third amplifier and if they will kill Mal.

I liked that I noticed there was going to be a future plan to happen early in the book with Apparat and it had happened shortly after. They grouped up and turned against the apparat. Exactly what I thought was coming.

I noticed that in the time that Alina has been underground with the Apparat he is very limiting. I see some foreshadowing for a future plan to happen.

I'm liking my book because I'm finding out details about Divergent that I didn't get from seeing the movie. It's hard to read the book and think that the book didn't do what the movie did, but I know its the other way around. It's nice to be able to visualize what it looks like reading the book after watching the movie.
