Dan Marshall doesn't hesitate to speak his mind, no matter the topic. The morbid humor he clearly uses as a coping mechanism for life can be off putting, but not once has it felt disingenuous. This is one of the first memoirs I've read and I'm impressed with how it flows and doesn't feel forced or dressed up for effect. Although ultimately I can see how this tragedy ends, I don't want to set it down.
