So there's a scene where a character has to have an amputation done after being bit. Perfectly normal situation for TWD universe...

...but having it done in a car? As it's being driven (at 50mph) down the road? When it didn't HAVE to be done in a moving vehicle?!

That is a perfectly stupid situation. NO survivor with a modicum of sense would allow it. Amputate first, THEN leave.

Decided to keep going, since I've read most of the series already. Definitely not the smartest choice I've ever made, because this book is written as poorly as the last one. Same repetitive descriptions. Same predictable "drama".

Definitely not in the same league as 'Wanted: Dead or Undead' (Angela Scott) or 'Dread Nation' and 'Deathless Divide' (Justina Ireland). THOSE are excellent books. This is... garbage.

I retract my statement that this book "would have been better in comic form". Having finished it, I don't think anything could make this book better.

I've just realized that Kirkman didn't co-write this novel... now I understand WHY this book is so bad.

Not sure if I'll finish this series or not. It's become painful to read such awkward (and least) and flat-out awful (at worst) prose.

Ugh, the writing in this series keeps getting worse. Ad naseum descriptions of walkers/the killing of walkers. Character inconsistencies. Plot twists ruined by giving away too many details before a thing happens. Cringe-worthy descriptions of sexual activity. It reads like a 12 year old kid who's never been kissed wrote it--it's THAT bad,

This story would've been better if it had been written in comic form.
