Absolutely fascinating yesterday afternoon to look at Google Earth satellite imagery of the area North of Hangest-sur-Seine described by General Rommel in his account of the invasion of France. Amazingly, two of the four railroad bridges that figured prominently in the part of the battle about which I was reading (and in Rommel's photographs, included in the book) still exist, although they are clearly abandoned...
