This book deserves a good few hours sat with it and no distractions, which I have yet to be able to do. Although a lover of fantasy reads, not a big fan of Dragons. However, I like the approach in this book towards the dragons or Drakes as they are named here.
so far so good

Every time I put this book down I have to come up for air- Awesome. Exceeded my expectations, which were high, given all 3 previous books are on my favourites shelf.

There it is, the difference between the Bright Star and the Black Sun, right there. Who stands at Nathair’s cairn and mourns? And yet Corban is surrounded, not by those who serve or fear him, but by those who love him. Even a scruffy old crow.

Decisions, decisions. Enjoying this book so far, however, just downloaded Wrath by John Gwynne, so, I may have to put this to the side for a week or two....

This Book is showing a lot of promise, nice pace from the beginning. Still at the stage of introducing new characters, pity I didn't have more time at the moment to dive in.

Been looking forward to reading this as really enjoyed books 1 and 2- however, been a while and, a lot of other books read in the interim period, as a result, cant remember what happened in book two and am rather confused- need to go back and familiarise myself

always had an interest in The Roman Empire and this book covers the first 1000 years of Rome . Sandwiched in between novels, audiobooks; will try and give it more attention at some point, other than in front of the TV!

First Audiobook in years, makes a nice change, despite having a hard copy of this book for about a year I plumped for the audiobook as I keep picking up other books- not sure why? Enjoying the audiobook however; Jalan is still the loveable, cowardly rogue prince and provides the humour to Snorri's more serious Norseman looking for a gateway to hell to recue his dead wife and children.
